Job Description
The company is looking for an Architectural Design Manager to join their Education team in Oak Park, Illinois. This role involves leading the design process for projects, ensuring innovative and exceptional design solutions are delivered. You'll collaborate with a team of creative individuals, maintain firm design principles, and utilize the company's design approach and innovation tools.
You will be responsible for presenting designs to clients, acting as an industry expert in building systems, and overseeing the work of Project Designers. A strong understanding of codes, regulations, and industry standards is essential, as is the ability to direct the production of design materials that meet project objectives. This position requires excellent programming and strategic planning skills, along with a commitment to promoting technical and professional excellence within the team.
The ideal candidate will have a professional degree in Architecture or Interior Design and over 10 years of experience in architectural design, with a focus on education projects. Proficiency in Revit and other graphics-related programs is required, and experience with 3D modeling software is preferred. A proven track record of creating high-quality work and leading teams, along with a passion for design awards and publications, is also important.
