Job Description
This role is for an Assistant Electrical Engineer who will support the design and construction of major capital projects for the NYC Department of Environmental Protection. You'll be working within the In-House Design directorate, focusing on electrical systems for water supply, wastewater treatment, and other critical infrastructure.
Your day-to-day will involve assisting in the preparation of engineering documents, including drawings and specifications, for electrical power distribution, instrumentation, controls, and lighting systems. This includes working with various voltage systems, substations, and control systems like SCADA. You'll also conduct site investigations and attend project meetings.
The company is looking for someone with a degree in electrical engineering and some experience in design and contract document preparation. Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, and power analysis software would be a plus. If you're looking to contribute to essential city infrastructure, this could be a great fit.
