The company is looking for a BIM Coordinator specializing in refrigeration to join their Mechanical team. In this role, you'll be responsible for managing BIM models for Virtual Design & Construction projects, focusing on coordination, creating installation drawings, and producing fabrication spools. You'll also be involved in setting up BIM coordinated models using company templates and collaborating with other BIM coordinators. Your day-to-day will involve coordinating and modeling mechanical refrigeration systems to ensure a complete virtual installation. You'll also create field installation and fabrication spool drawings, review project documents to ensure a coordinated VDC model, and identify potential issues during the BIM coordination process to help prevent field problems. A secondary part of the role includes maintaining and enhancing the company's refrigeration CAD infrastructure. This position requires a two-year technical degree in CAD or a related field, with at least five years of experience in the mechanical industry and two years of experience with Revit and/or AutoCAD. Strong communication skills, the ability to work independently or as part of a team, and fundamental knowledge of mechanical refrigeration and piping systems are essential.
