This company in Sherbrooke, Quebec, is looking for a Draftsperson Technician to join their engineering and process maintenance team. You'll be responsible for creating production drawings and preparing them for manufacturing, ensuring they meet client requirements. This role also involves supporting continuous improvement efforts for their products and processes. Your day-to-day will include revising production drawings, setting up orders for manufacturing by creating material lists and operational procedures, and programming CNC machines. You'll also contribute to bid processes and provide technical support to production and customer service teams, as well as assist in new product development. The ideal candidate has a DEC in Mechanical Engineering Technology and experience with 3D design software like SolidWorks or Inventor, along with AutoCAD. Familiarity with CNC programming and metal fabrication methods would be a plus, as is functional English proficiency.
