Job Description
The company is looking for an Engineer to join their team in the United Arab Emirates, focusing on testing and commissioning for substation automation and telecommunication projects. This role involves ensuring projects meet utility standards and schedules, while also contributing to digitalization efforts with modern SCADA and telecom technologies.
You'll be hands-on with the installation, testing, and commissioning of SCADA, RTU, and telecom systems. This includes configuring and troubleshooting various communication protocols like IEC 61850 and IEC 60870-5-104, as well as integrating equipment and performing essential tests such as FAT and SAT. You will also review technical documentation and coordinate with different stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure smooth project execution.
The position requires a Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field and 7-10 years of experience in SCADA, Telecom, RTU, and Substation Automation Projects, with at least 5 years specifically in UAE/GCC utility substation projects. Experience with ETIHADWE/FEWA projects and hands-on knowledge of key communication protocols and testing procedures are essential.
