This company is looking for a Geotechnical Lead to join a mining operation in Oviedo, Spain. You'll be responsible for the technical management of mine geotechnics and coordinating ground control activities. This role involves both fieldwork and technical coordination, ensuring geotechnical standards are met and supporting operations for safety and continuity. You will lead the geotechnical team, organize priorities, and conduct geotechnical assessments to identify risks. The position requires defining and optimizing support criteria for underground mining, analyzing excavation stability, and overseeing reinforcement and control plans. You'll also coordinate monitoring campaigns and quality control programs for ground support. The ideal candidate has a university degree in Mining Engineering, Geological Engineering, Geology, or a related field, with at least 7 years of experience in underground mining geotechnics. Experience leading technical teams, specialized geotechnical software, and a good command of English are essential.
