Job Description
This role involves creating and managing 3D models for industrial plants using AutoCAD Plant 3D. You'll be responsible for routing piping systems, designing P&IDs, and placing essential equipment like pumps and tanks. The job also includes generating structural elements, ensuring consistency between P&IDs and the 3D model, and extracting isometric drawings and orthographic plans for fabrication and site assembly.
You'll also be involved in extracting material take-offs (MTOs) and bills of materials (BOMs) for cost control and procurement. Collaboration with various engineering disciplines within a Common Data Environment (CDE) is key to resolving design issues. A strong understanding of component catalogs and project specifications is necessary to ensure accurate and constructible designs.
