Job Description
The company is looking for a General Installation Designer (IG) using Revit. In this role, you will be responsible for creating 3D models and general installation plans for industrial units, such as water treatment, waste management, and process utilities. You'll work within a BIM environment, coordinating closely with other technical disciplines like process, civil engineering, electrical, instrumentation, and HVAC.
Your day-to-day tasks will involve modeling equipment layouts, piping, utilities, supports, platforms, and stairs. You'll also produce 2D installation plans, sections, details, and bills of materials. A key part of the job is participating in model reviews and clash detection, often using Navisworks. Experience with Autodesk Revit is essential, and knowledge of Navisworks and AutoCAD would be beneficial.
This opportunity is ideal for someone with 3 to 10 years of experience in industrial general installation, a good understanding of P&IDs, and the ability to coordinate across different engineering fields.
