Job Description
The company is looking for a Survey CAD Technician to join their Survey team. This role involves working with engineers and survey professionals to create various survey drawings and deliverables using data collected from the field.
You'll be responsible for preparing topographic, boundary, and ALTA surveys, as well as drafting subdivision plats, construction staking surveys, easements, right-of-way exhibits, and as-built surveys. This will require reading and interpreting property legal descriptions and survey records to produce accurate CAD drawings for a range of projects, including residential, commercial, municipal, industrial, and oil & gas. Ensuring accuracy and timely completion of project deliverables is key.
To be successful, you'll need at least 3 years of CAD drafting experience in surveying or civil-related projects, with proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D. Experience with Carlson software is a bonus. A technical school degree or coursework in land surveying or civil engineering drafting is preferred. Strong attention to detail, the ability to meet deadlines, and a motivated team-player attitude are essential.
