Job Description
The company is looking for a BIM Technician in Columbus, Ohio. This role involves creating design models, shop drawings, and as-built documentation, as well as coordinating models with other trades. You'll be responsible for preparing sketches, applying knowledge of electrical codes, and interpreting contract documents and one-line diagrams to execute 3D modeling.
You'll work closely with site foremen to ensure constructability and collaborate with the project management team to resolve issues identified during reviews. This position also requires reviewing construction drawings for conflicts and code compliance, performing site surveys, and managing logs for RFIs and drawings. Experience with point cloud files for as-built conditions is also part of the role.
To be successful, you'll need a High School diploma or GED (Associate's degree preferred) and experience as a BIM Coordinator, Detailer, or Modeler. Proficiency in MEP Revit and Microsoft Excel is essential, along with strong computer skills and a keen eye for detail. Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities are also key.
