Job Description
The company is looking for a Senior Mechanical Estimation Engineer to join their team in Cairo, Egypt. This role involves preparing and reviewing detailed cost estimates for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) construction projects, ensuring proposals are competitive and accurate.
You'll be responsible for interpreting tender documents, creating Bills of Quantities (BOQs), and evaluating supplier and subcontractor quotes. Collaboration with architectural, structural, and MEP teams will be key to ensure accurate quantity surveying. You'll also contribute to value engineering initiatives and cost optimization discussions.
This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and at least 4 years of experience in MEP estimation and tendering. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, AutoCAD, and estimation tools is essential, along with a strong understanding of MEP construction practices and market pricing. Good analytical, communication, and negotiation skills are also important.
