Job Description
This company is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team in Scarborough, Ontario. You'll be focusing on the mechanical systems for mid- and high-rise residential buildings, covering HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and sprinkler systems.
Your role will involve developing designs from concept to tender packages, performing calculations, and creating drawings and specifications. You'll also be responsible for equipment sizing, selection, and ensuring designs comply with Ontario building codes and relevant standards. Field visits and problem-solving will be part of your day-to-day tasks.
The ideal candidate is a registered Professional Engineer in Ontario with at least five years of experience in a Canadian consulting firm, specifically with HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and sprinkler systems. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is essential, as are strong organizational and communication skills.
