Job Description
The company is looking for a Mechanical Engineer specializing in building mechanics to join their team in Thetford Mines, Quebec. This role involves designing mechanical systems for institutional and commercial projects, including plumbing, heating, ventilation, cooling, fire protection, and controls. You'll ensure compliance with building codes, prepare technical reports and energy simulations, and contribute to innovative, energy-efficient solutions.
You will collaborate closely with technicians and multidisciplinary teams, producing and verifying plans and specifications, and estimating costs. The position also requires providing technical support to construction sites and maintaining high-quality engineering standards. A background in building mechanics, knowledge of current codes and standards, and at least 3 years of experience are essential. Familiarity with AutoCAD and Revit is a plus.
