Job Description
The company is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join their Water Sector team in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. This role focuses on the design of HVAC and related mechanical building systems, particularly for wastewater treatment facilities.
You'll be responsible for performing load calculations, preparing design layouts and specifications, and selecting mechanical equipment. This involves coordinating with other disciplines and utility agencies, as well as reviewing shop drawings and RFIs. The role also includes directing junior engineers and assisting with proposals.
The ideal candidate will have over 8 years of design experience in HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Protection, with a strong understanding of industrial/wastewater treatment projects. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is essential, along with the ability to read various project drawings and apply relevant codes. A University degree or college diploma in Mechanical Engineering and a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation are required.
