Job Description
This role is for a VDC Engineer to lead digital delivery processes within the Advanced Manufacturing sector. You'll be responsible for managing and optimizing BIM and VDC workflows from design through construction, including setting up project technical aspects, coordinating model deliverables, and implementing BIM Execution Plans.
Your day-to-day will involve integrating VDC tasks like 3D logistics, 4D scheduling, and 5D cost estimation. You'll manage the Common Data Environment, lead clash detection and resolution, and act as a subject matter expert for BIM. This includes coordinating laser scan data, managing as-built processes, and providing technical support for field teams using mobile devices and reality capture for progress reporting.
You will also collaborate with clients, representatives, and contractors, manage trade partner modeling efforts, and contribute to business development during proposals. The company is looking for someone with at least 7 years of VDC/BIM experience, strong proficiency in software like Revit, Navisworks, and Autodesk Construction Cloud, and experience with laser scanning. On-site leadership and collaboration skills are essential for this role.
