Job Description
The company is looking for a VDC Engineer to join their Advanced Manufacturing Group. This role involves managing and optimizing digital delivery processes for projects in sectors like electric vehicles and data centers. You'll be responsible for aligning technologies with project goals, defining digital delivery scopes, and coordinating model deliverables.
Your day-to-day will include creating BIM Execution Plans, integrating VDC tasks like 4D scheduling and 5D cost analysis, and managing the Common Data Environment (Autodesk Construction Cloud). You'll also lead clash detection and resolution, act as a BIM subject matter expert, and oversee reality capture for progress reporting. This is a site-based role with a flexible home office location in the U.S., requiring on-site presence and leadership.
The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years of VDC/BIM experience in construction, a strong understanding of BIM technologies, and proficiency in software like Revit and Navisworks. Experience with laser scanning and point cloud data is also important, as are excellent communication and leadership skills. A background in developing BIM execution plans and a solid grasp of construction processes are key.
