Job Description
This role involves managing and carrying out marine inspections and audits for vessels working with the company in Qatar. You'll be ensuring these vessels meet all necessary international, regional, local, and contractual standards.
Your responsibilities will include overseeing Port State Control inspections, OVID audits, and DP trials. This is crucial for maintaining operational integrity, preventing substandard vessels from operating, and upholding safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
You should have extensive experience with offshore industry marine operations, including various vessel types and rig moves. A strong understanding of seaport rules, offshore regulations, class rules, flag state requirements, and IMO/IACS standards is essential. The ability to write technical reports and assess crew competency is also key.
If you have a Chief Engineer's certificate and significant offshore experience, this could be your next step.
