Iron Mountain

This role is for a Design Manager focused on data centers, working remotely within the United States. The company is looking for someone to lead the design process for new data center builds, customer fit-outs, and expansions. You'll be responsible for managing the entire design scope, from initial brief through to construction and handover. You will be directing external consultants and coordinating with various internal teams and external partners to ensure designs are safe, compliant, and cost-effective. This involves establishing design plans, managing deliverables, assessing risks, and providing accurate reporting. A strong understanding of multidisciplinary data center design, including mechanical, electrical, controls, and architectural aspects, is essential, along with knowledge of relevant codes and standards. The ideal candidate will have 5-9 years of experience in data centers or similar critical facilities. You'll need commercial awareness to balance design with capital costs, along with good negotiation and communication skills. A degree in a relevant field like Architecture or Engineering is required. If you're ready to take ownership of complex data center design projects, explore this opportunity.
