Job Description
This role is for a Senior Data and AI Designer focusing on platforms within a major Canadian financial institution. You'll be designing, configuring, and deploying generative AI and data technical solutions. As a technical lead, you'll guide development teams while ensuring adherence to governance, security, and enterprise architecture standards.
The project involves modernizing and evolving the organization's cloud analytics and AI platforms. The main goal is to build robust, secure, and scalable data pipelines and platforms that support data science, business intelligence, and generative AI like agents and LLMs. You'll integrate new AI technologies within a strict regulatory framework, optimize DevOps for continuous delivery, and ensure platform stability.
Your responsibilities will include detailed technical design, leading the technical team, overseeing complex component development, configuring DevOps tools, and supporting deployed solutions. You'll also monitor platform stability, identify cost-saving opportunities, and stay updated on new tools. Collaboration with various centers of excellence, infrastructure, security, and external vendors will be key.
This is a long-term mandate, running until March 2028, with flexibility for remote work and occasional office presence in Quebec City or Montreal. The ideal candidate has at least 7 years of experience in data solutions design, with deep expertise in Snowflake, Databricks, and generative AI concepts. Advanced knowledge of the Azure ecosystem and DevOps is essential, along with fluent French and functional English.
If you're ready to shape the future of AI platforms, this opportunity awaits.
